Today an exciting new chapter unfolds for Music Interactive as we become a part of F#, a company emerging at the forefront of digital music advertising. When Music Interactive was started, I couldn’t imagine the eight year journey I was about to undertake. What began as an idea to bring new a revenue source to a struggling music industry, has forged new ground in connecting music and advertising through digital media.
Last Fall at CMJ, I first learned of F# (named after the musical note f sharp) and was introduced to the CEO and founder, Pete Jimison. We met for coffee at the Nomad Hotel and immediately began sharing ideas and aspirations for the digital music and advertising intersection where we both found ourselves. I was impressed with how F# had grown through their partnership with Spotify to create powerful adtech solutions that took full advantage of that unique environment. Upon meeting more of the F# team, I was inspired by their creativity and tenacious work ethic. At this point, it became clear that we could better serve our customers and accelerate our ideas by becoming a part of the F# vision.
From here, I will be joining the F# team as Head of Sales overseeing our efforts in the US, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. I couldn’t be more excited to introduce the F# technology solutions and creative team to the Music Interactive customers and expand on our current offerings.
As this new journey begins, it’s important to first thank the people who got us here. We couldn’t ask for better customers to work with over the years, especially our integral clients Pandora and Shazam. Of course, we wouldn’t have even got started without MySpace Music including us as a launch partner. We would also like to thank the record labels Universal, Sony, Warner, and the countless indies who have been invaluable partners. Lastly, none of this would have been possible without my cofounder and CTO Alfredo Cabeza, our Director of Accounts Lilly Ghassemieh, our Music Director Dan Wilcox, and countless others we have worked with along the way.
With great things to come, I invite you to learn more about F# and reach out with questions, comments, and ideas on new ways to work together.
